Our waxing technique is highly praised by our guests. We believe in a quick, painless as possible waxing experience. To achieve the best waxing results, your hair should have at least 1/4 of an inch growth. Be sure to avoid sun exposure and any heat treatments for at least two hours before waxing and twelve hours after waxing. We regret that we cannot wax if you are using acne medication.

  • Wood therapy Pre and Post care: do not eat for at least 2 hours prior to treatment, drink at least 1.5L of water and make sure to ask your physician if this treatment is compatible with any medical condition you might have. Some clients experience detox symptoms such as weakness, headaches, dehydration, large bowel movements and fatigue, light bruising is also normal.
  • After care: drink at least 1.5L of water following the appt and throughout the week. This helps flush out the toxins, eating lighter and living healthier lifestyle will allow for optimal results along with continued consistent treatment plan for gaster and longer lasting results.

Before care for permanent makeup:

  • AVOID ALCOHOL INTAKE 48HRS PRIOR TO APPOINTMENT. (Why? Because alcohol promotes excessive bleeding & it makes for a difficult procedure)
  • AVOID TAKING MEDICATIONS/ANTIBIOTICS that promote bleeding such as Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, Ibuprofen, and even Omega 3 or Fish Oil for 3-5 days prior to appointment.
(Why? Because blood thinning substances or medications promote bleeding and bleeding makes for a difficult procedure.
  • AVOID CAFFEINE intake for 48 HOURS prior to procedure. (Why? Because caffeine can cause excessive bleeding, heightened anxiety, and promote fidgety movements.)
  • AVOID prolonging SUN EXPOSURE (Why? This can cause skin to be thinner which means the technician can potentially go too deep.)
  • AVOID using facial creams or serums that contain Retinol or Retin-A (in brow area) for about 2 weeks before procedure.

(Why? Because these items promote exfoliation of the skin. If the skin is too thin, the technician can potentially go too deep.)

  • AVOID getting Botox at least 2 weeks before appointment. (Why? Because Botox takes several days and even weeks to settle. We want to complete treatment on a client whose Botox has already settled to avoid uneven brows)

Contraindication: Microdermabrasion

  • No retinol 7 days before appointment
  • No active/cystic acne
  • No blood thinners medication
  • No cold sores or active lesions
  • 2 weeks after Botox/Filler or laser

After care advice for BB GLOW

  • Avoid make up for 3 days
  • Avoid sunbathing including sun beds
  • Avoid using scented skincare products
  • Avoid saunas, hot tubs, hot showers and baths and hairdryers for 48 hours (shower or bathe with room temperature water and use a hairdryer on med to low setting)
  • Avoid swimming for 7 days
  • Avoid washing face for 24 hours
  • Avoid eating spicy food and seafood for 3 days
  • Avoid using retinol products and vitamin C for 8 weeks
  • Wear moisturizing cream with an spf 30 or higher

Prewax care

  • Exfoliate 1-2 days before
  • Hair length at least 1/4 inch long (size of grain of rice)
  • Clean skin: shower, avoid lotions, oils or heavy creams in area
  • Pain management, take Tylenol 30-45 min before appt to minimize discomfort (optional)
  • Avoid Irritants: avoid retinols, strong acids, or deep chemical peels on area days beforehand

Post wax care

  • 48-hour rule: avoid saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms, tanning booths, to avoid irritation
  • Use antiseptic creams or aloe vera to calm redness and reduce swelling, use SPF
  • Wear loose clothing, avoid working out at least 24 hrs. after, moisturize, avoid touching area to prevent bacteria
  • Start gently exfoliating 48 hours after wax to prevent ingrown continue 2-3 times a week

Late Arrivals: please communicate with me if you are running late, I am very understanding. If running more than 15 minutes late your appointment may be rescheduled.

No call no shows: Any no call no shows will result in a no-show will be charged 100% of the service and could potentially be blocked from booking.
